There are many things you can be doing each day to help save the environment. Some are very simple like recycling and composting but others are more complicated. We will be exploring them here.
- You can try to take more public transport like buses and trains.
2. Have a vegetarian day where you don’t eat any meat. This will save water on cows and also cow farts have massive CO2 emissions. This is fairly easy to do and you shouldn’t be eating meat every day anyway. (It’s just not healthy)
3. Try to cut down on disposable plastics like plastic bags and bottles. Being your own reusable bag shopping and drink water in a reusable water bottle.
4. Eat less fast food. Fast food is mass-produced and also uses a ton of waste. Ask for paper instead of plastic wrappers and get your own utensil kit.
5. Try not to use styrofoam. Styrofoam is very bad for the environment. Ask for paper drink cups or even better use reusable cups.
6. Participate in trash cleanups at local parks and beaches. There are trash cleanups everywhere. While doing them you can also do our trash cleanup challenge on your phone.
7. Turn off the water while you are brushing your teeth. Don’t leave the water running. Also when you are washing your hands Turn it off when you put soap on your hands.
8. If you have a cat make sure it doesn’t kill any birds. Cats kill tons of birds every year.
9. Plant a tree. You can plant a tree. This will give off lots of oxidgen emissions. If you don’t have the time to plant a tree then you can donate to https://teamtrees.org/ For every dollar you donate they will plant one tree.
10. Think About how everything you are doing affects the environment and try to make your decisions based on that.
